I was born and brought up in a middle class family.  Since childhood I have been a keen observer and learned through experiences. As a result of which being a vernacular medium student, I have been able to overcome the challenges effectively.

I am thankful to my parents for their constant support and encouragement because of which I am able to take appropriate decisions.  I believe while taking decisions introspection and self-realization plays an important role. While in the process of evaluating and introspecting oneself, I personally feel observing your friends, relatives and reading books plays a crucial role.

Infact, books have really played a vital role in my life. Reading has always been one of my favourite hobbies and I have developed this habit since the time I started going to college. Apart from reading subject related textbooks and reference books, I also read novels and spiritual books. I am so passionate about reading that now I have a small library at home. Being an Arts graduate, I also read a lot of philosophical articles which indeed has helped me in one of my research topic on social entrepreneur.

I would like to mention, that I derive a great sense of satisfaction from teaching when I impart and share my knowledge with the people who are keen to learn. My area of expertise lies in economics and I try my level best to make the subject interesting for students by giving it a practical exposure through problem based learning method. Eventually I keep adopting new teaching methodologies and techniques to create a learning environment conducive to the students. Further, VSIT offers a great support in this and also gives opportunities to interact with eminent personalities, global educators and enables us to learn from them.

I have initiated some activities at VSIT namely BFN (i.e. Staff get together) which is an initiative taken up, to create bonding among the teaching and non-teaching staff. Another activity is BIZCON which is an event to enable the upcoming entrepreneur’s to showcase their talent and is conducted annually. Recently we have even started management club ‘ENACTUS’ for management students to get hands on experience in organising events at college and Institute level.
