I completed my graduation from L. S. Raheja College of Arts and Commerce in the year 2004. While growing up, I was always confused about my career choices and which career path to follow. It was during my graduation years where I came across 4 people who helped shape my choices for my career path.

Shri (CA) Arun Wandrekar is suffering from partial paralysis and has difficulty communicating. Despite of his physical challenges, he used to passionately teach us the concepts and practical problems of Financial Accountancy. His zest for teaching is an inspiration to me. I wish to match his passion for teaching.

Patience is an amazing virtue. Shri (Dr.) K. Venkateswarlu used to conduct a lecture never raising his voice or getting angry at any student. I am trying to emulate his virtue of patience in my lectures and addressing queries of students.

Shri Abhijit Padte, former the Head of the Computer and Mathematics Department, is not only a wonderful orator but also was the person responsible for pushing me towards Software Development as a career path.

With the help of his guidance, I went on to complete my Post Graduation in Master of Computer Applications from one of the premier institutes in Maharashtra, Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (V.J.T.I.).

It was Shri Mandar Bhanushe who saw the teacher in me. He had joined the teaching fraternity in my final year and had encouraged me to teach my classmates during the lab sessions stating that the best way to learn is to teach.

On successful completion of my Post Graduation, I enthusiastically joined the I.T. industry where I grew learning various skills in Project Development, Designing, Documentation, Security and Server Management. Although, I kept returning to teaching by taking the role of Visiting Faculty in few colleges to teach subjects like Project Management, Embedded Systems, Operating Systems, Database Management Systems and more. After 4 years of juggling between a job in the I.T. Industry and being a visiting faculty, I decided to quit my job in I.T. Company and become a Full Time Faculty. It has now been 9 years since I have been enjoying my role as a Faculty and have completed my NET & SET Eligibility Criteria during this duration.

In VSIT, I am an Assistant Professor teaching subjects related to Electronics, Networking and Security to under and post-graduate students. I also guide final year projects of students and additionally am a member of the Corporate Communication Committee. I enjoy interacting students and mentor students with their personal, educational and career based queries. I am fostering my growth and knowledge by attending various Faculty Development Programs (FDP) in Technology and Teaching Methodologies.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading books, watching movies and T.V. series. I prefer reading technical books to increase my knowledge and fictional books for relaxation. My favorite fictional book is Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.

Summing up, I would like to recite a mantra which is my guiding light:
ध्यानमूलं गुरुर्मूर्तिः
पूजामूलं गुरुर्पदम् ।
मन्त्रमूलं गुरुर्वाक्यं
मोक्षमूलं गुरूर्कृपा ॥

With my Gurus’ blessing, I shall continue elevating my knowledge and imparting it to my students……
