Connecting the dots of childhood memories, the result was a beautiful life with struggles followed by success. Every footfall has taught me valuable lessons that was a stepping stone for success.

Born into a middle-class family with moderate values who have wished their children especially girls to reach the sky with limitless boundaries. I feel blessed for a supportive family that made me emerge into a determinant and fearless soul. Education was the only medium to open up the door of opportunities for me. I modify the famous proverb and quoting it as “Tell me who are your teachers, I will tell you who you are”. Though I was from vernacular medium till my 10th standard, my faculty and the system encouraged communication in English. This small step transformed each and every student after graduation. The beginning days of college were a nightmare with bound books and students speaking fluent English. Taking down notes during lectures and referring to dictionary made me to understand the bound books. It is not less to say that my college taught me not only knowledge from books, it transformed me into a confident and bold person. I could identify my hidden talent as each and every student was part of many college clubs like Fine Arts, Tourism, Language clubs, NSS etc. I overcame stage fear and stammering by being an active member in seminars. Rehearsing for a couple of times in front of the mirror before stepping on the stage helped me to overcome my stage fear. My Head of the Department, Dr. Nagammai was my role model in teaching accountancy and she surprised me one day by publishing my drawings on each and every page of Commerce Department Magazine ‘Varthaga’. Hard work never goes in vain as I managed to graduate with flying colours. Again, the same hardship paved the way for my career in teaching and I have been selected as a lecturer in the same college where I was a student. The journey of learning through teaching is incessant and exciting every day.

My interaction with the students is still continuing, in Vidyalankar School of Information Technology, where I play various roles as a teacher, mentor, guide and a good friend. The college has provided a platform to polish my administrative skills with the responsibility of In-charge for TY B.Com. (Accounting & Finance). The College provided me an opportunity to leave my mark in different committees like NAAC, Final Year Project Quality Assurance Committee and Entrepreneurship Development Committee and Convener of the Programs like Three days Entrepreneurship Development Program, Five days Faculty Development Program on “ An overview of Indian Capital Market and Indian Economy “ in association with Bombay Stock Exchange Broker’s Forum and Lecture series for B.Com ( Accounting & Finance ) by Bombay Stock Exchange. The journey of learning through teaching is incessant and exciting every day.
