If you give man a fish you feed for a day, but if you teach him to fish you feed him for life. This philosophy brings me to teaching and its constant pursuit motivates me to create a larger impact. However, the journey toward the field of academics is bit non-linear and accidental to some extent.
I have done my Electronics Engineering from D.J. Sanghvi College of Engineering and was subsequently selected from campus in L&T Defence. Working with L&T and that to in defence sector has allowed me an opportunity to work in challenging fields and interact with various eminent personalities from the strategic domain. The aspiration of expanding my horizon has accidentally led me to teaching profession. It was students who have given birth to a teacher. Knowledge seeking and imparting journey continues hereafter.
Knowledge seeking remains an anchor during my journey and which could be reflected in academics. I have completed my masters in Political Science with NET qualified and was awarded Junior Research Fellowship by UGC. I have also completed my masters in Economics from Mumbai School of Economics and Public Policy and qualified NET of economics too. Legal pursuit has led me to complete LLB from Mumbai University and presently pursuing PhD. So, the academic experience brings out the synergy between various domains such as technical aptitude, legal acumen, governance, public policy, economics, and finance. This synergy helps in lateral thinking and facilitates to bring out independent thinking.
I joined the Vidyalankar School of Information Technology (VSIT) in 2022 in BMS (Management) Department and enjoying the institute’s vibrancy and pursuit towards excellence. I hope this journey leads to the mutual growth of the institution as well as my inner self.
My approach towards teaching and learning is based on the bedrock of practicality, freewheeling nature, ever-evolving scope, student-friendly and timely relevant. I hope to be a catalyst for the learners to do more, be more, and achieve more. Teaching not only gives the inner joy but it bolsters various aspects of human values which is seldom difficult to express in a purely corporate ecosystem. Small incremental positive change in every student is the constant motivation for life.
Lastly, the one sentence which I am highly inspired by and genuinely aspire to achieve is, “be the change you wish to bring in this world.”
