Having spent my childhood in Indore, great food is one of the remarkable things that the cleanest city in our country has to offer. The place where we grow up has a huge influence on our personalities. A clean place helps develop clarity in thought and crystalized manner of thinking. I always advise students to prioritize, focus on their goals as this strategy has helped me the most be it in early learning, my sports career as a national softball player, personal life of settling in new cities or of course teaching and research.

One on my earliest influencers was not a huge celebrity but a humble school principal, Ms. Shalini Moghe. She was looked upon by many due to her immense contribution in the field of education & social work and was awarded Padma Shri. Her simplicity & values reflected in all aspects of her behavior. Till today, I try and imbibe the same qualities in me when I attempt to impact students’ lives. I am happy I was able to spread Digital Literacy among underprivileged students at AXF NGO and to a group of staff & students with learning disabilities at Mona Remedial Education Centre.

I am blessed to have combined my love for computers and teaching. I diligently pursued both. My journey with teaching started while I was a student & would tutor my classmates, siblings who would deeply thank me when they would perform well. The foremost teaching was when I taught myself, I learnt programming languages, database handling, web technology with limited tools and time, but most of all what we need is the willingness to learn, and persistence. That love for food was now love for thought.

Now I realize that researching and preparing for the session, curating them for the students, delivering them using technology, seeing their curiosity satisfied and seeing them amazed by what we teach is food for thought much like what that little girl saw in Indore. In various situations beyond academic doubts, I counseled students, mentored them, and handled each student with utmost care. The bond I share with them is indescribably special.

My expertise is in Programming and Web Technology. I believe teaching is a lifelong learning process, learning new strategies, new ideas, new methodologies and new technologies from your students, colleagues and the community. I am also the Branch Counselor, IEEE-VSIT SB; Advisor, WIE Affinity Group, IEEE-VSIT SB; Center of Excellence (ATS) Coordinator, and IQAC Criteria VI Owner in the institute.

To mention few rewarding moments in my professional life: Association with renowned organizations such as the IEEE, IEEE-WIE, CII, BCCI, and IIT Bombay. Being a core team member for AICTE approved FDP on Digital Transformation in Teaching Learning Process, offered by IIT-B on NPTEL Swayam platform. I was selected in the team by Dr. Sameer Sahasrabudhe, Senior Project Manager in Dept. of Computer Science and Engg., IIT-B., for my outstanding performance in the IIT-B FDP201X course. Opportunity to be a Paper Reviewer at IEEE BSSC and V-CMT International Conference and to guide student teams for International Programming competition-IEEEXtreme and University level Project competitions such as Aavishkar. I have experienced some plot twists in life, but I grew resilient and made the most from those learnings. I live every moment of my life. I love getting photographed, making friends, dancing, and practicing yoga & meditation. In gist I am-Teacher by heart & learner for life.
