“Teaching is an incredible and the most versatile profession of all time.”

“Teaching profession becomes very interesting if you are of the opinion that at the end of every day you should be able to say “Yes I have taught my concept very well”. Students feel it if you feel it and that’s when a teacher is said to be successful.”

I started my teaching life with these kinds of useful words said to me by my parents as they are also eminent teachers from last 33 years. My ultimate objective of 50 minutes lecture in a class is not just to complete the syllabus but to provide out-of-the-box knowledge to students and to prepare them to cope up with the professional environment they will deal with. Another important fact about my teaching-learning process is everyday student should get a feeling of “Ohh, I have learnt something new.”

I did not want to be a teacher. I was doing a CA course but I failed many a times due to lack of focus and strong determination. Then I got frustrated as I was continuously failing by very less margin. Then I thought to teach students as I felt that now I will not let anyone fail. Then slowly I realized that the experience was amazing. If I am teaching someone and he/she is fully convinced with my explanation, there is nothing more fulfilling than that. That is when I started to develop confidence in my teaching skills. So teaching is everything to me now.

VSIT believes in quality teaching from its teachers which helped me to develop other abilities too. Soon I cleared SET, CS Inter, CS Professional (Module 1) which were my ultimate goals. Now I am about to complete the CS Course. This was only possible with the support of everyone. From everything I stated I can conclude that these three years of your college life are seriously very important to grow as a perfect individual.

Apart from my professional life I love to play Cricket. As a warming up session, I play cricket at college ground once or twice in a week with students. I come to know the psychology of the students and how this new generation thinks. It helps me to interact with them with ease.

I am currently handling all the cultural events happening on campus along with my team. Because of event management in the student council and through guest lectures, IVs, I got an opportunity to meet so many eminent personalities from different industries. Now they are like friends to me and they are ready to help students at any time. I feel fortunate to play an important role in the committee that imparts networking and managerial skills to students. As far as the social touch is concerned, I believe I get a true satisfaction from it. I believe students in our college experience a conducive environment which nurtures holistically.

All the best!!! Keep your “career mode” on!!!
