Department Strength
The Department of B. Com. offers a Professional Degree in the field of Finance & Analytics. It was established in 2010. The intake capacity is 180 students per year at various levels. It has a dedicated team of highly qualified faculty with a rich teaching & Industry experience.
The Department conducts various Workshops, Seminars, Guest Lectures, Faculty Development Programs, and Industrial visits for the students as well as faculty members. The department has a dedicated computer laboratory equipped with high speed Internet. The Department has active linkages with Industry and Institutions of repute in India and abroad. An opportunity to understand the working BSE, NSE, RBI etc. is also provided to the Students by the Department. The students benefit from various internship and placement opportunities created by these linkages.
The Department motivates the students to enhance their subject knowledge, technical skills, leadership skills, sports and co-curricular activity participation so as to develop their overall personality. The students of BCom Department have been successfully placed in Organizations of high repute.
The Department also conducts various Value-added Courses, Beyond Syllabus Activities & Personality Development Sessions for overall enrichment of Knowledge, Skills & abilities of the students.
The Department is also very active through the Commerce Associations which provides a platform to the students to showcase their talent through various competitions like Quiz, Debates, Business Plan Competitions, Poster Competitions, Case Study Competitions and a Signature Event – Thank God it’s a Saturday etc.

Bachelor’s in Finance and Analytics integrates core finance concepts with modern analytical tools, enabling learners to understand both traditional financial systems and emerging data-driven decision-making processes.
Learners are trained to interpret financial data, identify market trends, and make informed strategic decisions using quantitative and analytical methods.
Finance and Analytics as a specialization responds to the growing demand for professionals who can bridge finance, technology, and strategic business insights in an increasingly data-centric economy.

About The Faculty
The Department of B. Com. Finance & Analytics has dedicated and eminent faculty with a blend of experienced dynamic faculty as well as young enthusiastic faculty members. The faculty members are well qualified and few of them are awarded Ph.D degree. Many faculty are pursuing Ph.D from various reputed Universities.
Our Faculty members are having expertise in various fields of specialization like Accountancy, Commerce, Management, Taxation and Information Technology. Faculty members consistently take efforts to enrich knowledge by going beyond subject specialization. Many faculty are involved in Minor Research Projects funded by Mumbai University and Major Research Projects funded by Reputed Research Institution. Our faculty members are the authors of many books and published research papers in National and International Journals.

Commerce is one course which aims at giving basic understanding about business with an ability to work with various practical dimensions of accounting and taxation. We at VSIT encourage our teachers to implement holistic approaches in order to make this subject even more interesting and help students in achieving their goals easily.

ELIGIBILITY
1.A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Analytics) degree course shall have passed XII std. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate at first attempt (40% in case of reserved category).
2.Every candidate admitted to the degree course in the constituent/affiliated college/recognized institution, conducting the course, shall have to register himself/herself with the University.
