MY LIFE

I was born and brought up in Navy Nagar, Colaba located at the extreme south promontory of Mumbai city which is linked to through the Colaba Causeway. It is Asia’s largest naval armed forces personnel residential base.

My decision to be a part of the education field is a direct result of having wonderful teachers specially my mathematics teacher who taught me well and opened the doors for growth and opportunity. She taught me that the only way to achieve your dreams and aspirations is through quality education. With the help of my teachers, I was able to learn and exceed academically. I decided that through teaching I could affect the lives of many students who experienced similar challenges as I faced.

My teaching practices should empower students to take ownership of their education and help them achieve their learning outcomes. A great teacher is warm, approachable, enthusiastic and caring about students.

Presently I am working as an Assistant Professor, with specialization in Programming, Network Security, Mathematics, with Microsoft certification in “Introduction to Java Script”

During the regular lectures the class lesson plans includes classroom activities, discussion questions, printable handouts, minute papers, pop quizzes with answer keys and a lot many more. It’s my pleasure to conduct various activities for students which involves inviting eminent speakers in the field of education like Prof. Dr Ravi Raghunathan from IIT-Bombay specialized in Mathematics etc. As a team our college focuses on various extracurricular development activities for students like inter and intra collegiate events/festivals which help students to showcase their hidden talents on the stage. I have been involved in University examination related activities like paper setter, moderator, auditor, external examiner, evaluator for different subjects. I have been invited as a resource person in different colleges for conducting trainings, expert lectures in various subjects.

My hobbies include embroidery and cooking. My kitchen is my playground in every sense and I always been a wonderful cook who can prepare a scrumptious meal.
