It is been said that life will always surprise you with new plans and decisions. I was supposed to be a cricketer, but I am working as a Teacher. As I enjoyed cricket playing and watching, similarly I am happy and content teaching young minds.
Apart from teaching I like to work out and eat a lot. I am a very spiritual person and I have visited many spiritual places.
I have done my schooling from Raja Shivaji Vidyalaya. After completing my SSC, I selected Commerce and joined S.I.W.S College of Commerce and Economics. From the same college I also completed my B. Sc.IT in the year 2005.
After completing my graduation, I joined Vidyalankar Institute of Technology as a Lab Assistant and took admission for M. Sc.IT in the University of Mumbai (IDOL). During this period, I got opportunity to engage lectures for B. Sc.IT students of Mumbai University (IDOL) and this started my Teaching Career.
In the year 2010 I joined Pune Vidyarthi Grihas College of Science and Technology as a Lecturer. Here, I got to learn more and teach students and I kept exploring my knowledge. As my core subject is Networking and Operating system, I have setup a full-fledged Working Computer Laboratory of 160 Computers for B. Sc.IT and B.Sc. CS students. In PVG College, I had set Paper for B.Sc. IT Mumbai University Student (IDOL) for the first time. I learnt how to guide students and solve their queries as well as to behave with your colleagues and students.
While everything was moving with good pace in my professional space, urge for learning more however was still burning in me. So along with teaching in VSIT, I took admission for Master’s course in Mumbai University and subsequently completed it with Outstanding Grade in March 2016.
I was fortunate to come back to Vidyalankar School of Information Technology as an Assistant Professor in the year 2014. In VSIT, I worked in many committees that had opened many new directions for me as a learner and an instructor. Placement is one of such committees where I interacted with various companies like Capgemini, TCS, WIPRO, Infosys etc. and guided students to get placed by arranging activities that eventually helped them to achieve their goals. VSIT inspired me to write my first Research Paper on “Internet: A Quality Based approach to implement in BMC Schools”. I was invited as a Guest Speaker in “Wellness Forever” to teach advance Excel, word, and PowerPoint. Looking at my knowledge in Networking and computers, VSIT appointed me, as the Convener of Lab Development Committee. I have arranged and conducted many activities for students, teachers and for Non-Teaching Staff, that helped them to gain knowledge about Hardware and Networking.
I have also participated in many Faculty Development Programs including the one conducted by IIT Bombay where I was selected as the Best Performer from 4000 teachers all over India.
My first book “Operating System” by Seth Publication released in the year 2019. As a responsible citizen I tried contributing by participating as a service to community in Nirmal Vidyalaya School. I help student to learn computers and to use word and PowerPoint. A Teacher enlightens the path of success, similarly I will try to inspire, ignite the imagination, and instill love of learning in each student.
Being born in a family where both of my parents were doctors, I was expected to take up medicine as my career. So just like every middle class family my career was decided even before I could learn to speak. During my school and college days I was an above average student but when it came to giving my entrance test for medical somehow I could not manage to get admission in Mumbai and again due to family restrictions I could not go to Yavatmal where I managed secure an M.B.B.S seat. But life does not stop right? So I was expected to prepare for medical entrance one more time. I wished to go for Engineering and brought my admission form as well but was persuaded against it. So to not waste my year I was made to take admission to B.Sc. in the same college where I completed my HSc and that was a turning point for me.
During graduation I was lucky enough to be taught by teachers who inspired me not just to understand what I like but also to take a stand for what I like. So I decided to complete my education in Electronics even after getting B.D.S. seat in a college in Navi Mumbai after my second attempt of the medical entrance. This time I was persistent and confident enough to do what I like and was ready to take all the responsibility of that. So I continued my education while working part time as tutor, because if the choice is yours, so is its responsibility.
During my graduation I realized that, it is more important to know various opportunities around us than to be stuck with a single choice. Unlike our parents’ time, these days we have large number of opportunities, but we lack is proper guidance to explore them. Also one needs to make his own decisions and not just that should be able to work hard to achieve their goal. This thought inspired me to become a teacher and I did my Masters in Electronics and completed B.Ed. I wished to be the torch that today’s kids need in the world full of opportunities. I wanted to tell them that career does not end only because you missed one opportunity, but this also does not mean that we stop taking our career seriously. We can be more alert and grab the next opportunity that comes in our way and again make a comeback in the race of life. So what are we waiting for? ON YOUR MARK. GET-SET-AND GO….
